Serving as a Moderator at the Rancho Mirage (CA) Writers Festival later this month from January 21-24th is Hollywood movie studio exec and newsman Peter Bart. Authors appearing at the fest include Debra Tate, sister of the late actress Sharon Tate, who will talk about her new book SHARON TATE: RECOLLECTION as well as award winner author Nathaniel Philbrick with his book BUNKER HILL.

- Peter Bart began his career as a staff reporter for The New York Times. He served as editor in chief for Variety for twenty years, where he is now editor-at-large and writes a weekly column. For eighteen years he served as a Hollywood studio executive, involved in developing films including The Godfather and Harold and Maude. He has written three novels and six nonfiction books and has produced seven films, including the HBO documentary, “Boffo.”
